Concealed Undermount Channels - Hidden Drawer Slides | Hettich India

Overview

Concealed undermount channels are drawer slides that mount under the drawer base rather than on its sides, giving cabinets and wardrobes a clean, hidden-hardware look. Hettich India offers a range of these channels under its Drawer Channels category, with options across closing type, channel height, extension type, and load capacity.

What It Does

Concealed undermount channels support smooth, seamless drawer movement while staying invisible from the front and sides of the drawer. Depending on the model, they offer:

• Normal closing - manual push/pull operation
• Soft closing - drawer glides shut gently without slamming
• Push to open - drawer opens with a light push, no handle needed

Who It Helps

This range is intended for:

• Modular kitchen and wardrobe fabricators sourcing drawer hardware
• Interior designers and contractors specifying premium, hidden-slide drawer systems
• Homeowners upgrading existing drawers to a modern, handle-free look

Buyer Questions This Page Should Answer

What is a concealed undermount channel?

It is a drawer slide mechanism fitted underneath the drawer rather than on the sides, so the hardware stays hidden when the drawer is open or closed.

What load capacities are available?

Models in this range go up to 45 kg per set (e.g., Hettich KA 5632), with other models rated at 25 kg and 30 kg depending on the series.

What is the difference between soft closing and push to open?

Soft closing drawers glide shut gently and quietly on their own once pushed close enough. Push to open channels let you open the drawer with a light push, without needing a handle or knob.

What channel heights are offered?

Options include 34 mm, 37 mm, and 46 mm channel heights, which affect drawer box depth and compatibility with existing cabinet designs.

Is full extension or partial extension better?

Full extension channels let the drawer pull out completely for full access to contents; partial extension channels open only part of the drawer length. Both are available in this range depending on the model selected.

Do prices include tax?

Yes, listed prices are shown inclusive of all taxes.

Hettich India has offered code HMS10 for an additional 10% off on cart value, subject to terms and conditions.

Comparison Context

Within Hettich's own catalog, concealed undermount channels sit alongside other drawer and cabinet hardware lines, including furniture hinges, aluminium profiles, wardrobe accessories, steel wire baskets, and sliding door solutions. Buyers choosing between channel types should compare closing function (normal, soft, push-to-open), extension type, and load rating against the drawer size and expected contents.
